Conversation Club offers 10 weekly, theme-based project-oriented activities that focus on social and communication skills for individuals with developmental disabilities. Participants will have individualized goals in the areas of conversation, nonverbal communication, and social interaction. In each session, participants complete motivating and interactive planning projects with peer mentors (UT undergraduate students) under the instruction of graduate student clinicians. Sample activities include: making a Harlem Shake video, critiquing art at the Blanton Museum, and cooking.

PROJECT SKILLS is an 8-week program serving the families of children who have a recent diagnosis of ASD. Training introduces parent intervention specific vocabulary such as joint attention, communicative temptations for language development, expansion of child utterances, modeling appropriate language, and symbolic pretend play.
Training includes one 2-hour introductory group session and seven 1-hour individual sessions

Cost: No cost for eligible Texas residents; $600 for eligible non-Texas residents

Project PLUS is a FREE workshop series aimed to provide information on various topics related to caring for children with ASD. We will offer a total of 12 webinars on different topics that can be viewed at a time of your choosing. The webinars are recorded and you will be able to view them from any device of your choice.
