UT Children's Auditory Research and Education
Children’s Auditory Research and Education (CARE) Lab: The mission of our research program is to understand hearing development and the impact of hearing loss, primarily in children. We employ a combined approach integrating electrophysiology, signal processing, behavioral tests, and computational modeling. An important goal is to train the next generation of audiologists and hearing scientists by offering world-class research opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds, including traditionally underrepresented groups. Fortunately, our research and training efforts have received consistent support from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD).
