Dena Granof, Ph.D., holds the position of Senior Lecturer. She teaches the graduate course in dysphagia and undergraduate courses in both child and adult communication disorders. Dr. Granof's area of clinical interest is with the multiply handicapped pediatric population in both assessment and treatment planning of communication and swallowing.
Prior to coming to UT in 1994, she was Director of Speech, Language and Cognitive Therapy for the Starbright Pediatric Rehabilitation Institute. She developed and coordinated the pediatric dysphagia program at that facility. Dr. Granof was the recipient of the 2006 Texas Exes Teaching Excellence Award for the College of Communication. Dr. Granof received her M.S. in Speech Pathology from the University of Michigan in 1972 and her Ph.D. from the University of Texas in 1982.
