Margaret S. Dean, Ph.D., holds the position of Lecturer in the Department of Communication Science and Disorders. She currently teaches, as needed, both graduate and undergraduate courses including clinical audiology, pediatric audiology, electrophysiological audiology, amplification systems, principals of audiology, and hearing science. Her clinical experience includes previous employment as a clinical supervisor at the University of Texas Speech and Hearing Center training graduate students in all areas of audiology. She is also currently employed as a clinical audiologist at Brackenridge Hospital of Austin. Her special interests include the evaluation of hearing sensitivity in infants and electrophysiological testing. Dr. Dean has published articles in the Journal of the American Academy of Audiology and has presented research papers at state, national and international conventions.
