Thank you for your interest in pursuing a graduate degree in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at The University of Texas at Austin! In addition, our superior faculty and staff offer the highest quality academic instruction, clinical training and administrative support. The application process at The University is two-fold. When applying for admission to the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, please remember that you must also apply to the Office of Graduate and International Admissions Center (GIAC) with The University of Texas at Austin.

Information regarding application to The University of Texas at Austin may be obtained from the Office of Graduate and International Admissions Center (GIAC). The University of Texas at Austin will OPEN applications for graduate study on September 4, 2007.
The Office of Graduate and International Admissions Center (GIAC) requires the following materials to be SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY:
• Application for admission to graduate study available at: https://www.applytexas.org/adappc/gen/c_start.WBX?s_logon_msg=Y
• Non-refundable application fee ($50 US and $75 International)
• ALL Official Transcripts from (Senior Colleges and Universities)
• Official GRE scores - Graduate Record Examination - General Test
• Official TOEFL Scores - Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internationals ONLY)
• Statement of Purpose
• Three Letters of Reference
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders requires the CSD Graduate Applicant Prerequisites Form (PDF – get Adobe Acrobat Reader) to be SUBMITTED to the CSD Graduate Office by the required CSD DEADLINE DATE
Failure to complete the above GIAC online application and the CSD Prerequisites forms may prevent you from establishing a data record in our CSD Graduate Office, which may also prevent your application from going forward to review with our admission committees.
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders requires ALL of the above materials to be SUBMITTED through the Office of Graduate and International Admissions and the CSD Graduate Office. NO PRINTED MATERIALS (including Transcripts, Official GRE/TOEFL Scores, Letters of Reference or Statement of Purpose) should be mailed to the CSD Graduate Office. All hard copy materials received in our office will be immediately forwarded to the Office of Graduate and International Admissions Center (GIAC). It is in your best interest to insure that all materials are submitted electronically in order to meet the required department deadlines. Failure to meet the required department deadlines may prevent your application from going forward to review with our CSD admissions committees.
