CSD Info Day – Friday, October 23, 2009

9:30 a.m. – Noon, CMA 5.160

Below you will find information regarding our CSD Information Day, which we hold each fall for prospective students. Students applying for a PhD are required to interview on an individual basis and should contact the Graduate Program Coordinator.

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders will establish one day for visits by prospective graduate students on Friday, October 23, 2009. On this day visitors will have the opportunity to meet with the Graduate Advisor, Chair of the Department, Director of the Speech and Hearing Center, Speech/Audiology faculty, Graduate Program Coordinator and current students in order to learn more about our graduate program, the Department, the College, and the University. Our program of meetings will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Jesse Jones Communication Center (CMA), Lady Bird Johnson Room, CMA 5.160, and end shortly before noon.

Individual visits are not recommended due to the heavy load our faculty have with research, coursework, and scheduled meetings. This date will be the only day this fall that our faculty will be able to receive visitors, so we encourage you to plan to join us.

CSD GRADUATE APPLICATIONS

Information on the graduate programs in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is provided ONLY online.

NO printed materials are available. Instructions for applicants and forms for completing the Departmental portion of the graduate application are also available at that site.

The University's Graduate and International Admissions Center (GIAC) official application form is online at: http://www.utexas.edu/student/admissions/grad/

Both the GIAC and Departmental application forms are required to apply for admission to graduate study. It is strongly recommended that you visit these sites and that you complete your application online. Printed information materials are not available from the department, and the Graduate and International Admissions Center will send printed application forms only by special request. It is quite easy and effective to complete the entire application process online, and we urge you to do so.
